We recently attended 24–28 Martin Lane to carry out two essential safety upgrades across the site: the installation of a key clamp guard rail on the Artur Street elevation and the addition of a secure lock and chain for a roof access gate.

At the Artur Street elevation (6th floor), our team installed a custom-fabricated key clamp guard rail system. The install involved fixing through existing steel framework on one side, and using resin anchors to secure into brickwork on the other. A stabilising vertical leg was added at the centre of the run for structural integrity. Once installed, the system was checked for rigidity, tagged, and ready for use.

Meanwhile, on the main roof, we installed a heavy-duty key lock and chain for the existing access gate, complete with spare keys. The client requested this as part of increased site control and to ensure compliance with site security protocols.

All works were completed using rope access methods and hand tools, with care taken to avoid any disruption to the building occupants or surrounding areas. The result? A clean, solid guard rail install and secured rooftop access — simple, effective safety upgrades carried out to a high standard.
